Love the idea of String Quartet tributes to rock bands, rappers, and other genres.

I heard the "Classical" version of some Hendrix songs like "The Wind Cries Mary" and found it to be genuine and really seemed to condense the favorable components of the melody (not in spite of but because of) as it was translated by string instruments in the Classical style. The musical fusion actually enables you to appreciate both genres equally and creates a kind of musical puzzle especially if you listen to the string version before knowing the original artist. Nice.
